Beyond our solicitors' fees (fixed fee or hourly rate), you should budget for disbursements including: Land Registry registration fees, SDLT (Stamp Duty Land Tax) where applicable, property search fees, bank transfer charges, and in some cases barrister's fees for complex litigation. All disbursements are clearly itemised in your written cost estimate — we never hide these costs.

A straightforward commercial lease transaction typically takes 2–4 weeks from instruction to completion. More complex matters may take longer. Regarding payment, we typically request a small payment on account when instructing us, with the balance due upon completion. For fixed fee matters, the full fee is agreed upfront. We accept bank transfers, credit/debit cards, and can discuss staged payment plans for larger matters.
